Piled high, served hot.

Kongunadu is the western region of Tamil Nadu, around Coimbatore, Erode, Tiruppur and Pollachi. Its food is robust and home-style: seeraga samba biriyani, pallipalayam, chukka varuval, kothu parotta and tender-coconut drinks.

At Anandha Vilas we cook it the way it is cooked there, with masalas made in our own kitchen, and serve it on East Coast Road in Thiruvanmiyur.
